The days July 11, 12, and 13 fall under the days for which the City of Venice requires the so-called “access fee.”
Guests staying at a hotel or lodging facility within the municipality of Venice (meaning the entire municipal area: Venice, Murano, Burano, Lido, Pellestrina, Favaro Veneto, Mestre- Carpenedo, Chirignago-Zelarino, and Marghera) are not required to pay the fee (as it is included in the tourist tax), but must still register on the following website:
Click on the box “Go to Exemptions” and then on “I am a guest of an accommodation facility located in the Municipality of Venice”, and enter the required information.
One overnight stay is sufficient to be exempt. Minors under 14 do not need to be registered.
Once registration is complete, you can download a QR code to show upon request.
Anyone not staying in registered accommodation (i.e., not paying the tourist tax) must pay the access fee by clicking on “Go to Access Fee” on the same site.
This must be done for each individual day for which the fee is required. If paid up to 4 days in advance, the cost is €5 per day; otherwise, it increases to €10 per day.
Payment is made on the site by credit card or PayPal.
